Adolescence is an important developmental period during which significant changes occur in body dimensions, motor abilities, and postural characteristics. This study aimed to compare the main anthropometric, biomechanical, and postural indices between pre-pubertal and post-pubertal girls aged 11–13 years. Sixty pre-pubertal girls (mean height 149.04 ± 6.98 cm; mean weight 44.51 ± 7.96 kg) and 40 post-pubertal girls (mean height 155.76 ± 5.71 cm; mean weight 50.35 ± 10.67 kg) from District 13 of Tehran, Iran participated. Group classification was based on the recorded presence or absence of pubertal signs at the time of assessment, and participants were selected from an accessible population. Anthropometric, biomechanical, and postural parameters were measured. Descriptive statistics, the multiple correlation coefficient, principal component analysis, and the Mann–Whitney U test were used to analyze data. Significant between-group differences were observed in selected anthropometric indices, medicine-ball throwing performance, lateral spinal deviation, and knock-knee status. Because the study was cross-sectional, these findings indicate differences between the pre-pubertal and post-pubertal groups and should not be interpreted as evidence of causal effects of puberty or genetic factors. Genetic findings reported in previous studies, including genes involved in pubertal timing, provide a framework for hypothesis generating and future research; however, no direct genetic assessment was performed in the present study.
