Alternative splicing is molecular processes which lead into transcriptome and/or proteome plasticity in plants and animals. These functions accomplished through the producing of proteins isoforms, affecting RNA function, making changes in transcription factors and enzymes characteristics. One of the most important and beneficial influence of alternative splicing is giving the living organism the ability to tolerate variety of biotic and/or abiotic stresses. In this review paper we have discussed some of the functional aspects of Alternative Splicing in the plants.
