Abstract:   (1734 Views)
One of the new methods used in breeding programs in plants is the identification of QTLs in the genome using molecular markers. In order to identify QTL for Bread quality traits such as protein content, Zeleny sedimentation volume, bread volume, SDS sedimentation volume, water absorption, moisture content, gluten index, gluten elasity, wet gluten, grain hardness index and 1000 grain weight in bread wheat, one Genetic population of 169 recombinant inbred lines (RIL) from crosses SeriM82 and Babax in relation to the above traits was evaluated. To identify the QTL, a continuity map was developed using 249 AFLP markers, 264 DarT markers, and 74 SSR markers including 29 linkage groups. Totally 30 QTL were detected for studied traits under drought and normal conditions which 3 QTLs for protein content, 6 QTLs for wet gluten, 2 QTL for bread volume, 2 QTLs for Zeleny sedimentation volume, 6 QTLs for 1000 seed weight and 3 QTLs for gluten indexThe justified phenotypic variance with these QTLs varied from 0.05 to 21.41 percent, and the LOD was in the range of 2.50 to 6.0.08. QTLs identified after validation can be used in correction and selection programs using markers.
